Soap-Making By: Stella

Hello Readers!  The boys are studying Botany in science right now and learned how to make soap with mint grown from our garden.  We went to our local garden center, got some peppermint and planted it in our flowerbed.  We ordered some Glycerin , peppermint oil and soap molds
First we grated the glycerin (1 bar)
Next we melted it for 40 seconds in the microwave, stirring every 20 seconds.
Then we put in the peppermint extract (be as generous as you'd like with this!)
Then we picked some peppermint and got out our molds.
We poured the glycerin/peppermint extract mixture and poured it into the molds, placing a small mint sprig in the middle of each mold.
Here is the result!  It is very moisturizing and lathers just like store-bought soap!
