~Central and South American Regional Meal~

This may be one of the best regional meals we have had, and we have cooked quite a few of them over the years!! We loved the variety of foods and the incredible flavors. The kids did a fantastic job and learned so many fun cooking techniques. Recipes are linked below!
Mexican Sodas, Peruvian Ceviche, Corn Chips, Salsa, Chunky Guac, Dragonfruit and Rose Salad, Cornbread, Refried Black Beans, Dirty Rice, Anticuchos with Tropeior Beans, and Brazilian Chocolate Truffles
Owen loved the dragonfruit!

Let us know if you try any of the recipes!

Fall 2020 (Siobhan)

~Fall 2020~

Happy Fall 2020! It is finally starting to cool down, and the beautiful fall colors are beginning to show. Soccer, basketball, AHG, and schoolwork have kept us busy. Here are some pictures of what we have been up to :)
The twins' favorite part of the day is preschool with Mom!

A little election day humor from Brandan!
Brandan made "Bread Babies" to celebrate 'Day of the Dead!' They were incredibly delicious, and we served them with a warm bowl sweet potato lentil soup!
Owen LOVES having Ethan home to snuggle with while he studies!
Ethan and I both worked on Halloween, so we made Woody and Jessie costumes for our costume contest. We won third place!
Mom's granola business has been booming! We have started selling our pumpkin maple granola, and it has been very popular. We've also been working together with Wise Ant General Store and are selling our granola there as well!
This past weekend Mom had the opportunity to present the history of granola making at Burritt On the Mountain's Folk Festival!
The original "granula" cereal on the left above has evolved a LOT over the years! On the top right you can see the yummy ingredients we use today.
We handed out lots of free samples and sold out before the afternoon was over!
We hope you all have had a wonderful fall so far. Stay tuned for a lot more pictures and posts in the upcoming weeks!
