Hello Readers!  In Science, Rus and I are studying Botany.  In 
the past lesson, we did an experiment to test the starch level in 
several different foods.  We put the food on a plate and set out Iodine 
and a dropper.  The Iodine showed us which of the foods contained 
starch. On each piece of food, we put one drop of Iodine.  If the food 
turned blue, we knew that there was starch in the food, but if the 
Iodine remained brown, the food had little or no starch.  The results 
were interesting!  Foods such as pasta or hamburger rolls contained lots
 of starch, while foods such as pears or marshmallows contained almost
