Little Filia's birthday started with some cinnamon rolls, as we all reminisced on the day one year ago when we likewise ate the same breakfast and marveled over our new sister. Her beautiful new birthday dress from Grandma and Grandpa P. fit perfectly and attracted many a smile.
We piled in the car to go to soccer and then when we came home ate lunch and spent a quiet afternoon.
In the evening we went to a birthday party for Filia's birthday and an early birthday party for Rus. It was very fun! We all enjoyed the yummy pork sandwiches and chocolate cake with scrumptious ice cream. Heading home we all declared the day a success. :)

Silly Little Filia!Rus' birthday started with Dunkin' Donuts and milk. We all ate happily, wishing Rus a happy birthday. After that, we all dove into our school day. Rus spent some time with Dad, as he did not have a very heavy school day. Then we all had Tamale Pie for lunch with some special flavored hot cocoa packs. Rus and I had caramel, MMMM!!!!
Then we went to DI! Rus is in DI as well this year, in the Rising Stars Challenge*. At DI he had some yummy cupcakes!
For supper we had Tomatoes Pizza and for dessert, chocolate chip cheesecake with a delicious, thick chocolate glaze on top. Then came a pinata and presents, WHAT A GREAT BIRTHDAY!

At the end of his birthday I asked Rus what his favorite part was. He looked at everyone around the table and smiled. Without hesitation he said emphatically-
"My favorite part was getting to spend my birthday with my family." <3 <3 <3
