Yesterday morning, the big kids and I took off to run some errands while Daddy and Baby Boy worked on the construction site (a.k.a. Home Sweet Home). Lately I've been searching for any excuse to escape the smell of wet paint, plaster dust and splintery plywood floors."
Sis and Buddy were delighted when I told them that I'd bring them to Michae's Craft Store's annual Crayola Craft day. We attended last year, and it was a blast. Once again, the kids went from station to station, experimenting with all of the latest and greatest art products and creating their own magical clay wands, painted cards and bedroom door hangers. I couldn't resist picking up a few fun, mess-free items for Baby Boy. (That's one great thing about homeschooling. You can rationalize some of these splurges as "school supply expenses." He's going to love the chunky, crayon-shaped paints and the bright papers with markers that look as though they are "popping" out of the page.
In case this snow hangs around, we will be armed and ready to occupy ourselves cheerfully with the treats I found. Stay tuned for pictures...
