Going to Michael's By: Sis Age: 8

Mom, Buddy, and I were going out on some errands!
The most exciting thing was that we had heard that once a year at Michael's they have a free family craft day!
We decided that we'd find out more about it!
We got a March Newsletter from Michael's and Mom put the stuff that looked most fun on the calender!
So we decided that we'd try it!
(Last year we found out about it and decided we'd go to that!)
So as I'm going to write that's the 1st most exciting thing!
(We have a 2nd) . . .
So we hopped into the car and drove off!
The first errand we had to do was go get out oil changed!
It was surprisingly quick so we decided we'd go to the mall!
We got a little something there for Grandma!
Then we were off to Michael's . . .

When we got there we immediately found Station 1.
There we got a special kind of clay!
(We bought the same product!)
This is how I made my wand . . .
I took a wooden stick and I took some white clay and covered the stick from 1 end!
(I left about 2" and I'll tell you why in just 1 sec.)
After I took some purple clay and put a little bit 1'' apart.
Then with the extra room I took a pipe cleaner and wrapped it around the stick into a heart shape! Then i simply just mixed purple and white clay together and I left it to dry for 3 days!
CAN YOU GUESS WHAT THAT CRAFT I MADE WAS?
ANSWER: A MAGIC WAND!
Station 2:

At the next station we made a card for a friend!
I decided to make mine for Grandma as a thank you for all of her help scraping our walls!
There we bought some crayons with paint inside them!
They don't make any mess!
If you want to use them you simply tap them on a piece of paper and then you can draw!
Station 3:

We made doorhangers here! There were special markers that we colored on paper with,
(the doorhangers) the paper had bumpy edges and a big hole so that we could hang them on the door!
I made 4 doorhangers for my fam. and Buddy made 3 for Grandpa's B-day!
Shh! Don't tell!!!!

That's the best I can do writing about Michael's but then we had the 2nd best part . . .
