Report on Botany Class by Rus (age: almost 8)

Hi, I'm Aidan.  I love botany!!!  Did you know some plants are named after Latin. And did you now plant have tubes in them!  and those tubes are named veins.  A seeds shell is called a testa.  A seed has a scar were it was attached to it"s mother.  Did you know there are plants that eat animals!  Some plants even eat frogs!  without flowers we would loose health. Never pull bark off  a living tree. and never pull leafs of living flowers. The more trees the healthier you will be.  Some pollinators are bees, bats, hummingbirds , and butterfly"s. any thing that contains seeds is a fruit.  So things like tomatoes and cucumbers are fruits.  Did you now that plants have mouths!  These mouths are called stomata.  Don"t you love botany?
