Hello Readers!
Now that school is in full swing, I'm trying to keep up with all of the pictures that we've been taking of the various activities and projects that we've done. So, here is a compilation of some of the things we've been up to ;-)
-Painting-
Stella's Plaster
Leo's Plaster
Tert's drawing (This 'was' Theseus fighting the Minotaur in the labyrinth. He said that he wanted to paint it so that it gave him a stomach ache to look at it. I think he succeeded...)
Leo and Rus made 'pottery' out of modeling clay like the Mycenaeans. They did a great job on their projects!
Rus' on the left and Leo's on the right. Tert wanted to make something, so I helped him roll out a snake ;-)
~Rus works on his math~
Filia and Tert LOVE playing with Bubber, the new 'Playdough.' It is SOOO easy to clean up. It makes very little mess, and doesn't dry out! It is expensive, so we only have one color, but it comes in two huge balls per container.
Filia loves to read the 'Bubble' (Bible) She'll come in every day as I'm reading my Omnibus, or working on Math and ask, "Where Sissy's Bubble?"
Maze Time!
First Math Test...
SUCCESS!!!
This is a 'zoo' the boys created. All the animals are in their habitats (the boys will tell you more about this in a later post ;) )
The boys have really enjoyed their Apologia Science this year. Leo and Rus work together (Leo at the Intermediate Level and Rus at the Beginner's Level)
This project is a camoflauge experiment. I hid some Skittles inside pieces of tissue paper and then stepped back to take pics :-)
Leo set the timer...
...and then the lions (boys) dove into the grasslands (laundry basket) to find their prey (Skittles...)

Playing with the ice cream set from Grandma and Grandpa P. ;-)

ROAR!
We soon discovered why the female lions do the hunting....
The boys discovered which jellybeans were the easiest to find and which were the hardest (like the purple ones :) ) This demonstrated which animal species would be the most likely to die out and which would live longest due to camoflauge.
Okay, enough science: LET'S EAT!
