I wanted to share with you some pics. and recipes with you!
We are so grateful for our oven, and this summer Mom and I are going to be doing a lot of freezing, baking, etc. etc. The other day Mom froze 7-8 quarts of homemade tomato sauce!
Do we need anything special to put them in? No way! Yogurt containers work just fine :-D
So below I have some pictures of Mom's famous Cobb Sandwiches! These are positively amazing! The bread is homemade :-)
Curry! :-D
Recipe from Stella's *STAR* Kitchen:
Now 'Rita's Cream Cheese Squares' are positively delicious, and best of all: they are SIMPLE!
Ingredients:
2 Rolls of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough in the refrigerated section of the grocery store.
2 Bars of 8 oz. Cream Cheese
2 Eggs
1 Cup Sugar
2 Tsp. Vanilla
Directions:
- Slice one roll of cookie dough and place it in bottom of a well (I'm saying: WELL!) greased 8x12" pan.
- Blend the rest of the ingredients well with a mixer.
- Spread on top of the cookie dough.
- Cover with remaining layer of cookie dough.
- Cook at 375 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Do NOT over bake! Take out of the oven before totally cookie inside.
NOTE FROM CHEF:
* We didn't completely cover the cream cheese squares on the top with cookie dough, as you may notice from the pictures. This is because I put a thick layer on the bottom and then I just formed a cookie dough 'design' on the top. This made it so that we could have cookies for two nights afterwards, and everybody seemed to be happy with that arrangement :-P
Well, that's about it! I hope you've enjoyed today's Recipes from Stella's and Mater's 'Star' Kitchen!
Happy Baking!
