~My Sophomore Year at Covenant College~
Where do I even begin? I don't know how to put into words the amount of emotions I am feeling as I say goodbye to Covenant. This place captured my heart when I visited it for the first time two years ago. I didn't know why God was calling me to go to a college where I knew nobody, 18 hours away from home. Yet I knew this is where He wanted me to be...
It sounds so cliche, but I have learned so so much during my time at Covenant. Yes, the rigorous liberal arts classes have certainly taught me so much about a wide variety of subjecta, but mostly I have learned so much emotionally and spiritually.
My first semester of chemistry taught me some major lessons in humility and showed me that it is okay not to always get an A on every test. I learned what it is to fail and how to pick myself back up and move on. God works through every situation we are in, and He can use me despite my imperfections. My work study position as a student admissions representative taught me that I love working with people and allowed me to share my passion for Covenant with other prospective students. My time on Halcyon and position on leadership team showed me how important it is to have other godly women in my life to pray for me, laugh with me, cry with me, and always point me back to what is truly important. I have made so many precious friends that I am indescribably grateful for. My first time living apart from my parents and my siblings taught me how much they have done for me and how unconditionally they love and support me. The professors and faculty here have inspired me each and every day with their love and passion for their work and have shown me how to keep Christ first no matter what subject I am studying.
I am so grateful for the two years I have spent here and wouldn't change them for the world. Thank you to everyone who has made my freshman and sophomore years so rich and full of joy. I will miss you all so very much ❤️

First Day of Classes! Over the fall semester I took CHOW I, Human Anatomy I, American Literature, General Psychology, and Race In American Art.
Mountain Bike Rides
This year I stayed in the Student Apartments. It was so fun to be able to cook my own food!
I used to be grossed out so easily by dissections and blood, but Covenant helped me to quickly get over that! Sheep's hearts, minks, and brains don't phase me anymore! That being said, I never want to look at (or smell!) another mink.
Jazz on the Overlook
The walk back to the student apartments from campus was long at times, but I was rewarded with the most breathtaking sunsets and mountain views.Having my family so close by this year was amazing. I loved being able to go home for breaks and special weekends like Shaila's birthday.
Kosmic Kilter
Mistletoe Mingle
Day of Prayer
During the spring semester I took Microbiology, Human Anatomy II, American Lit II, American History Since 1865, and Lifespan Development.
On MLK Day, we all went out and did various service projects in the Chattanooga area. It was a really neat experience.
Sk80's!
I worked in admissions again this year as a Student Admissions Representative. It was an incredible experience. I learned so much and am so grateful for my amazing work study team members.
Spring Formal
Student Appreciation Day :)
Of all my friends at Covenant, I am going to miss this special person the most. Miriam has been there for me since day one and has been the best roommate and friend I could ever hope for 💓While I went to Covenant, I attended Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church with this amazing group of people. I loved it and will miss it so much!
