Knights were fierce fighters. The Age of the Knights was 900-1500
AD. They had the most important duties of all the soldiers during the Middle Ages. The Noble Knight's training began at age seven. Young boys, who were called pages, learned to ride and care for horses. The agile youth wrestled, hunted with falcons, and learned strategy by playing chess. The strong squires assisted masters in touurnaments, and they were ultimately knighted in grandiose ceremonies. The tenacious Knights followed a Code of Chivalry. They served God. They served master. They served country. Gently, lovingly and loyally, they served for the better good. Above all else they resolved to honer, protect, and respect the ladies. They clad themselves before battle, and they protected the land from invaders. They kept law and order in the land. They payed a lot of money for their beautifully bedecked armor, and their Horses' armor too! Most importantly they set a timeless example of courage, honor, and respect, which we would do well to imitate. Knights were dignified, daring, defenders.
