Fourth of July 2013 By: Stella

I hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July!
We spent most of our Fourth at the B family's house. They had such clever games!
The first game we played was called 'Tick Attack.' J had made a little 'tick' and stuck it on a clothespin. Everyone split into two teams, the orange and the green team. If you had the tick you had to put it on someone by pinning it to their shirt, hat, pants, etc. If they notice you have to try again. But if they don't, you call out 'Tick Attack' and everyone looks for the tick. If the person with the tick finds it, the other team gets a point. If they don't find it, then the team that stuck the tick on would win. The game went on throughout the day.
 Filia made a new friend
The fishing game was fun too. The little kids picked up their 'worms' (aka water balloons) and brought them back to their bin. They had to do it without popping them. The color of the balloons changed the score. (For example, red balloons are worth more than white balloons)
The sprinkler in the middle made it fun
Filia wasn't that thrilled about popping her balloon
The next game was for the older kids. We had to throw rolls of toilet paper and either get the longest piece or get the roll the farthest. :)
This game was for the parents. Couples teamed up and were given a bunch of cake decorating supplies. These were, white frosting, a cupcake, red frosting, blue frosting, and a little candy star. They had to design a cupcake that looked like an American Flag. The B's made a template and the couple had to follow it. The tricky part was that the wives were blindfolded!
After they were blindfolded the men were shown the template. The cupcake was split into quarters
top left quarter:
blue w/ candy star
other quarters: white/red striped
 Not bad!
 :D
Wonderful job Mom and Dad: you won 2nd place!
Killing the bugs (aka water balloons)
Another game was 'The Most Difficult 10in. Obstacle Course in the World.' We had a paper and an egg. Mrs. B covered the paper with shaving creme. You had to lean over and move the egg from one edge of the paper to the other with your hands behind your back, using your nose or chin.
...
 This was the result.
We played a lot of other games, but I don't have pictures of them. After we finished the games, we ate. The food was delicious! Mom had brought ribs and her cake as our contribution.
Yum!
In the evening we went to fireworks with Lyd, Mo, and E. It was a lot of fun.
