Baby Shower at the B's House By: Stella

Recently the B family surprised Mom by having a surprise shower for her. We went there to do a baking challenge. They had decorated their basement, and we stayed upstairs while we prepared the food. Mrs. B and another woman whose daughters were doing the baking challenge distracted Mom while we worked. One of Mom's friends snuck into the basement with her little kids and when all the food was down there, Mrs. B brought Mom downstairs. She was so surprised! It was a wonderful shower. Thanks so much Mrs. B, J and J!

 All the decorations were yellow, as we don't know the gender ;)

 I just loved this cake! It was lemon cake, one of Mom's favorites.

 Here's a poem I found online. I changed and deleted some parts until it went like this:

At first you moved only a little. I could always find you, right in the middle.

As time went on, you really started to grow. It wasn't a lot, in fact, it was rather slow.

Before I knew it you were all over the place. It kind of felt like you were running a race.

People would ask if you were a boy or a girl. I'd sit and wonder if you would have curls.

There are so many things I really want to know. But you are are hidden inside, so the answers don't show.

How much will you weigh? How tall will you be? What color is your hair? Will you look like me?

Your Dad and I planned you right from the start. You, my dear child, were made straight from our hearts.

There will be no one like you in all the world. It doesn't really matter if you are a boy or a girl.

I hope I make you proud that I'm your mother every day. Because, you have filled my dreams in more ways than words can say. 

 On the same day Mom got a huge package of sweet gifts from her friend Kristine. There were chocolates, flowers, books, cards, a cup, candles, lotions, and so much more. Kristine also sent some money for Mom to buy herself something special.
