I had so much fun participating in Franklin Area Children Theater's production of Willy Wonka Jr. It was my 6th year participating in FACT, and my third year participating as a teen intern. I worked for in Franklin with the other teen interns, teaching kids basic theater skills, designing/building our set, and helping our incredible director pull together an hour and a half show in just two weeks! It was a lot of work, but it was so much fun.

We partnered with Central Sweets Candy Store. The day of our first performance we went down to the candy shop in costume.

Each of the teen interns gets a younger 'buddy' for the week to look after. Mine was Tristyn :)

My Son Pinocchio Jr. (Siobhan)

~Pinocchio~

One of my favorite things to do in the summer is work as a teen intern at Franklin Area Children's Theater. We have only two weeks to put together a Disney musical. This year we performed My Son Pinocchio (a junior Broadway musical.) It always amazes me to see how quickly the play comes together. The teen interns and kids are amazing, and we always have so much fun. 
This year my camera died right before the play (thankfully I had a warranty on it!) so I couldn't get pictures, but our director took some on her phone. 
 

Each of the teen interns were assigned a 'buddy' to look after. Mine was Olivia :)

My friend, Asia Grace, was able to do FACT this year and loved it!

FACT Presents the Little Mermaid By: Siobhan

Recently I was part of a production of Disney's Little Mermaid. It was a lot of work, but so much fun! For the past few years I have done FACT (Franklin Area Children's Theater.) Once a year we get together and put on a musical in only two weeks! This year I decided to do FACT as a teen intern. Teen interns get paid to teach the kids who do the camp basic theater skills, help them learn the lyrics and choreography for the songs, teach them games, and learn our own parts for the play. We had two 1 1/2 hour productions. Our cast was made up of 53 people! I played a Mersister. We were all very sad to see it end.

Thankfully, someone came in on one of our rehearsals and took some amazing pictures, so I do have quite a few to post here. Since it was a rehearsal, we did not have all of the costume pieces, but we had quite a few, so you get a good idea of what it looked like on show night. :)
