Anne of Green Gables Play (Shaila)

We went to a play about Anne of Green Gables it is a great book and if you have not read it you should read it. Our friends where in the play and that is how we heard about the play. They did a great job in it! Anne has a very big imagination and she does not like her red hair so she pretends that it is completely black so the she does not even really notice that it is red. But she also pretends her name is Cordelia instead of Anne because she thinks that it is a prettier name then just plain Anne. Oh and before the two people who adopted her where hoping for a boy to help with the farm because Matthew was getting so old so he could not do it all by himself so they were hoping for a boy, but they got Anne instead. Marilla was planning on giving Anne back, but she just had to keep Anne, because the other people who were going to take Anne looked so mean and they would probably not be nice to Anne so Marilla kept her there with her so that she did not have to stay with that awful woman , who did not even like Anne, and did not want to take her. So Marilla just took Anne into her home. And where Marilla and Matthew lived was called Green Gables. And Anne loved it and thought that it looked super beautiful so she found one of the lakes that she thought had such a plain and simple name so she changed it to, The Lake of Shining Waters. She changed a lot of the plain and simple names into very interesting names, and Anne loved romantic stuff so the names that she made for the places were very romantic. Marilla thought that it was just silly, but Matthew thought that it was fine and that she could name them that if she wanted to. Matthew is a very kind hearted man in both the videos and the books and Marilla, well she is nice too but she just does not show it as much as Matthew shows it. She makes sure that Anne turns into a nice and Ladylike girl. And sometimes Anne’s imagination goes a little bit too far. She definitely had a big imagination! I loved the play they all did an amazing job. I have never been in a play before. I would not like to be a main Character in a play I would just like to be a quieter Character. I have been in a play that my brother made up before and we also have done a play at our Grandma’s house in front of our whole extended family like all of our cousins and aunts and uncles and our Grandma and

Grandpa. Anyway, I loved the play and it was amazing, and the Character who acted out Anne did an amazing job. I think I might ask my brother if he wants to make up a play during like Christmas break. He is great at making up new plays for us to do!! I hope that you like my blog article!!
