~My Freshman Year at Covenant College~
I finished my first year at Covenant College! I had an absolutely amazing year, and I am so thankful that I decided to call Covenant my home for the past two semesters. This year was incredibly challenging in so many ways, but through it all I became completely convinced that Covenant was where I was meant to be. The friendships I have made have been such a huge blessing, and I have learned so much both inside and outside the classroom. Here are some of the hundreds of pictures I've gotten behind on!
Class of 2021!
Everyone told me my first week that I would quickly be taking a ridiculous amount of sunset pictures, and they were right! The sunsets at Covenant are absolutely breathtaking, and watching them from my dorm room never got old...
We finished orientation with the solar eclipse. It was amazing!
This year I was on Halcyon in Maclellan Hall. The girls on my hall made this year so special in so many ways!
Jazz on the Overlook!
It was really amazing to benefit from all the different skills/hobbies that people on our hall had. For one of our hall events, Jessica, an amazing cook, taught us how to make homemade eggplant parm. It was delicious, especially considering that it came out of our very unequipped dorm kitchen :)
RUF was a huge blessing to me this year!
Living on the fifth floor=lots of crazy elevator pictures!
Each semester we have a Day of Prayer. We start the day by going to Rock City as halls for a beautiful sunrise service with hymns and prayer and then having a restful day off of classes.
Lots of studying!
Kilter 2017!
Cookoff with our brother hall!
Mac Movie
My suitemates, Sarah and Michaela!
It took me forever to actually take pictures of my dorm room. Ethan made me this beautiful rug to brighten it up! And of course I had to hang up tons of pictures...
Mistletoe Mingle
One of the greatest experiences this year was being on leadership team for our hall. I was so thankful that Brittany, my RA, invited me to be on the team. We coordinated all the hall events/birthdays/weekly worship and enjoyed getting to know each other better through our weekly meetings. This year I took General Biology 1 and 2, General Chemistry 1 and 2, Christian Mind, PE 151 and 152, Old Testament, New Testament, and Philosophy.
Sk80's!
For my birthday, my hall gave me this apron as a thank you for baking them treats throughout the year. It is such a beautiful gift I will treasure always!
Visiting the TN aquarium was so fun!
I still can't get over how early flowers blossom in the south...
Finishing chemistry was the biggest relief. It was hands down the hardest course I have ever taken, and it was a very humbling experience to say the least! I am so glad that I pushed through, but I am thoroughly convinced that I never want to be a chemistry major ;)
I made so many friends at Covenant this year, and I couldn't have made it through my first semesters without them. Brittany and Miriam especially have been with me through it all. Brittany was an incredible RA, and I am going to miss her SO much this fall. I can't wait to room with Miriam and am looking forward to pressing through some more crazy biology classes together!
