-PET ROCKS-
I did this craft with the boys, but you could easily do it with girls too.
Step 1: Have your child collect some rocks.
Step 2: Pull out the paint and paintbrushes. WASHABLE paint is definitely a good idea.
Step 3: Let rocks dry completely.
Step 4: Glue googly eyes onto the rocks with a hot glue gun. For this part I just asked the boys exactly where they wanted the eyes and they didn't mind me gluing them on at all.
Step 5: Add other decorations to the rocks. You can add paint, feathers, beads, ribbon, etc. The boys had a blast designing their rocks.
That's about it...Also make sure you give your pet rocks some fun names ;)
Tert's rocks: Chaymper, Katesies, Seyx, and Squishy
Rus's rocks: Hailey, Joel, Cadence, Joli, Aria, and Chalice

Egg-carton Flower Crafts
This is definitely a more 'girly' craft. I did it at the same time as the pet rocks because there's painting involved in both of the crafts.
Step 1: Cut out the circular sections of an egg carton. You will need quite a few, allowing for ripping.
Here's a tip: Use the other half of the egg carton for scraps.
Step 2: Paint the egg carton circles.
Step 3: Poke holes inside the egg carton circles with a toothpick.
Step 4: Pull ribbon through the circles. Sometimes it's helpful to poke the ribbon through with a scissor.
...And here's the final product!
Filia was thrilled about modeling her new 'jewelry.' We also made a bracelet by threading a single flower through a length of ribbon. She loves it!
I hope you enjoy these crafts and have a blast making them. If you have any questions please feel free to comment below.

Aw! I'm really honored to have these special pets named after us! I sometimes feel I NEED that many eyes to keep track of all that goes on at our house! What a thoughtful project, Siobhan. I'm sure everyone loved it! :)
They sure did! :)
They were so excited to name them after you.
