Hello to All of Alma Mater's Readers!
I hope that you Fathers out there had a wonderful! (Belated :P) Father's Day!
Mom made a fabulous supper. I have posted the menu below:

Menu:

       __Salad with toppings (Craisins, Almonds, Feta Cheese, with a delicious strawberry dressing)

       __ Homemade Foccacia Bread

       __Cheesy Mashed Potatoes topped with Fresh Garden Herbs

       __Beef Bourguignon

       __Asparagus w/ Blue Cheese

      

Dessert: 

       __White Chocolate Creme Brulee with a dollop of whipped cream

After the fabulous meal we couldn't hold another bite! :-)

  

We gave Dad some presents:

Baseball 2012 By: Stella

Hello to All of Alma Mater's Wonderful Readers!

Today this post is going to be dedicated to little Rus- who is not so little anymore!
This year he did baseball for the first time, loving it just as much as he did t-ball last year :-)

His final game was amazing! He did very well, and we are very proud of him.

 

Filia and Tert enjoyed watching Rus as he practiced for the game. But they got even more excited as the game started...

HIT! And a run to first... 

 Rus even got to be catcher! Leo helped him, catching any balls that went beyond him.

 Rus came out to give Filia a hug after he reached homeplate! :-) Then he went on to give each family member a hug, along with each of his coaches at the end of each inning. :-)

Another hit! Rus had a GREAT!! game :D

Rus got to ride on a bike with his coach, AND keep the gameball!

Constantly Pizza, (Rus' team sponsor) donated 7 pizzas, which the team (and their fans ;-) ) eagerly ate...
Then came the thank yous to all of the coaches.  Finally the lady there smiled and handed Leo a gift.  She went on to thank him for all of the help he had given, being at every single practice, coaching the kids, etc.You should have seen his face as he opened his present in shock :-)

It was a Red Sox shirt :-) (No, unfortunately I don't have pictures :P)

Finishing off the day with a cupcake and medal: GO RUS!!!

  Here is Filia in a dress worn by me (Stella) at Uncle M and Aunt R's wedding. I was the flowergirl at age 5, and look! It fits Filia! She's always been a very tall girlie :-)
