Pluto Debate (Mater)
The kids are studying Apologia Astronomy this year. We recently learned about the ongoing debate over whether or not Pluto should be considered a planet. I assigned each of my older kids a point of view which they had to defend in an organized debate. I think that they had fun in spite of themselves. :) Stella and Leo presented their positions to their younger siblings and parents last night and did an excellent job...

Fun! We are doing Astronomy this year too, and we're finishing up the Pluto chapter this week. My guys are a little young for a debate, but C decided that since L was "for" Pluto being a planet, he most definitely should be "against." :-)
