June Happenings (Siobhan)

~June Happenings~

How on earth is June gone already?! So much has happened this past month that I decided to jumble it all together into one post. It's been a busy month but such a good one!

-Chicken Update-

We now have twenty-two chickens in our flock! Brandan is absolutely wonderful with them. He feeds, waters and cares for them almost independently. We only have two chickens old enough to lay right now, but he made me the most amazing fresh fried eggs for breakfast while I was home this past weekend! He is exceedingly patient with them, and the twins love snuggling the hens whenever they can. One of our chickens is either a "Louisa" or a "Louis." We aren't sure yet, but we may have a rooster on our hands. She is ridiculously big and definitely has a strut to her (his?) step!

-Brendan's Visit-

My boyfriend, Brendan, came to visit a couple weeks ago! It was his first time meeting my family, and we had such an incredible visit. He was unphased by our bathroom flooding the evening he arrived and was such a good sport about jumping in and joining on the craziness of a weekend where Dad was away in MA visiting his family. We had multiple coffee dates, a lake day, trail walks, yummy meals, games, movie nights, and even a few birthday celebrations. I'm counting down the days til I go to visit him in Kentucky!

-Happy Birthday Baxter and Cade!-

The twins turned six! We celebrated with a big ice cream cake, a day at Point Mallard waterpark, cards and gifts from family, and even a Kona shaved ice machine. They had an awesome day!

~Maker's Dozen Update~

Mom's home bakery business is doing so well! We are currently selling every second and fourth Friday of the month at Piper and Leaf's Maker's Market.
