LOTW-Letter S with Tert and Stella

Yet another letter!  Hope you enjoy this week's LOTW post ;)

 Tert did an awesome job with his S/s Match ;)

 Next it was time for puzzles and matching

 Then we moved onto lacing and pasting

Next came the poke page.  Tert has gotten so good at this one that I let him use Mom's skewers now.

 Pom-Pom Magnet time!

 This was adorable!  He matched the right color scarves to the right snowman by the band on their hat.

 

Then came Do-a-Dots: a favorite :-)

We finished up with tracing and pre-writing.  Way to go, Tert!

Hello LOTW followers:here's the next letter!

 Do a Dot Time and Memory verses

 Color By Numbers: Tert does a super job with this activity!

 I loved this next one. The activity sheet had a single colored rainbow and one cloud, and there were mini clouds with the words: RED, ORANGE, YELLOW, etc. that he had to match with the rainbows

 Number tracing (and in the background) Uppercase/lowercase match

 Check out all that matching! Phew!

Letter P-Q LOTW with Tert and Stella

Hello Readers!  Here is yet more letters from our LOTW Curriculum...

 We recently did the letter P for Pumpkin.  Tert started with his Do-A-Dot page...

 Next we did the Pp poke page and checked his work by holding it up to the window :)

 This activity is always fun! I put a certain number of pumpkins on the page and he has to count them and put the right number in the square.  He did an awesome job!

Pattern Time :)

Next Tert matched the correct number of pumpkin seeds with the corresponding number...

The week after we did Q for Quilt.  Above he is doing patterning, and puzzling ;)

Cupcake Fun with Stella, Tert, and Filia

Hello Again to Alma Mater's Readers!  We found a really cute cupcake recipe and decided to try them out for a friend's birthday.  The kids had a blast making them with me, as you can tell from the pictures below...

Step 1: Prepare your favorite cupcake mix.  We picked out chocolate. :)

 

Pour in the Mix!

 Add water, oil, and eggs...

 Blend everything together!

Put them in the oven to bake!

 Step 3: Frost most of the cupcake with white frosting.  Frost the remaining part (the brown part above) with chocolate frosting.  Add chocolate chips for eyes and a little bit of red icing for a small mouth.

Step 4: Add Oreos for hair on either side of the cupcake with a little white frosting

Step 5: Enjoy the final product!

It's as easy as that =)

Pumkin Oatmeal Cups From: *Stella's Kitchen

Hello Readers!

I have another recipe to share with you this week.  It is very simple and has a delicious result!

We love these for either a yummy breakfast, or a lunch with some eggs or something like that.  We make them once a week.

 Ingredients:
1 15 oz. can of pumpkin
1/2 cup vanilla almond milk (I usually just use regular.  It tastes about the same ;)  )
2 eggs
1 tablespoon baking powder
3 cups oats (technically you are supposed to use old fashioned, but I always use quick oats and they work fine)
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
1/3 cup brown sugar
Chocolate Chips (however much you prefer ;) )

1.  Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2.  Mix all the ingredients together. 
Note my little helper in the background =)
3.  Get muffin tins and spray with nonstick spray.*
4.  Put muffins in oven and bake for 20-30 minutes.
*Note: Though you are putting them in muffin tins, the texture will NOT be like muffins.  Once you mix everything together, you may be a little concerned about how thick it is, but keep this in mind.
